Where is SS Marks located?

Do I need to visit your office to use your services?
Most services are handled fully online. Documents are collected digitally and filings are made electronically. A physical visit is rarely required, though you are always welcome to meet us in Chennai.
Do you serve clients outside Chennai?
Yes. We serve clients across Tamil Nadu, India and internationally — including NRI clients, foreign companies entering India and businesses in other states. Most services are handled fully online.

Our professional fees are fixed and confirmed before we begin any engagement. Government fees and statutory charges are charged at actuals. We do not charge hidden fees or add unexpected items after the engagement begins.

How long will my matter take?
Timelines depend on the service and on processing by the relevant authority. Company incorporation filing can often be completed in around 10–14 working days once documents are ready; trademark filing can ordinarily be completed promptly after receipt of the required documents. Registration timelines vary substantially depending on examination, objections, opposition and Registry processing. Government approval, registration, certification and processing time cannot be guaranteed.
Incorporation
How long does company incorporation take?
Private Limited Company and LLP registration typically takes 10–14 working days from the date all documents are submitted, subject to MCA processing times. OPC registration follows a similar timeline.
Can a foreign national incorporate a company in India?
Yes. Foreign nationals can be directors and shareholders in an Indian Private Limited Company, subject to FDI policy for the relevant sector. At least one director must be a resident Indian.
What is the minimum capital needed to start a Private Limited Company?
The Companies Act does not prescribe a general minimum paid-up capital for incorporating a private limited company. The appropriate authorised and paid-up capital should be determined based on the proposed business and shareholding structure.
Trademark
Can I use ™ immediately after filing?
Yes. Once the application is filed and you receive the acknowledgement, you may use ™ with your brand. The ® symbol may only be used after the registration certificate is granted.
Can SS Marks handle my trademark objection?
Yes. SS Marks handles trademark examination objections, Show Cause hearings, opposition proceedings and all post-filing trademark matters through the IP India portal.
