Frequently asked questions

What is the annual IEC update?

Contact us to know the exact pricing for your requirement. Failure to complete the annual update results in IEC deactivation.

Can I change the bank account linked to my IEC?

Yes. A new bank account can be linked to your IEC by filing a modification application with the new bank's certificate or cancelled cheque. A DGFT penny drop verification follows.

What if my company name has changed?

If the company name has changed due to an MCA filing, the DGFT IEC must be updated to reflect the new name — along with the fresh Certificate of Incorporation from MCA.

How long does an IEC modification take?

Most IEC modifications are processed within 1–3 working days on the DGFT portal, subject to any bank verification requirements.

Do I need a DSC for IEC modification?

Yes. A valid DSC of the authorised signatory is required to submit modifications on the DGFT portal.

IEC details need updating?

SS Marks will log in to the DGFT portal and complete the modification — initial consultation, without obligation.
